The mission of the AFP Greater Austin Chapter is to facilitate ethical and effective philanthropy in Central Texas. The members of the Greater Austin Chapter represent a cross-section of professionals who serve the diverse nonprofit organizations of our community.

What Makes Our Chapter Special

AFP Ten Star Award - Recognizes chapters that perform specific activities designed to increase professionalism within fundraising and public awareness of philanthropy. 

AFP IDEA Champion -- Recognizes chapters that perform specific activities designed to increase diversity and inclusion within fundraising and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy in all cultures.

 Legislative Action Day -- First in the nation to host a day for the state to promote the vital role that philanthropy plays in communities across Texas.

Three Things AFP Austin Aims to Do Well

1. AFP offers a valued membership experience by providing professional development, ethical fundraising standards, networking, and rewarding leadership development opportunities to our membership. 
2. AFP is the known expert and thought leader on Central Texas philanthropy through its current and past leaders and senior members.
3. AFP fosters the next generation of fundraisers through scholarships, training, networking, diversity and inclusion efforts, and leveraging partners across the nonprofit/fundraising sector.
