Angie presently serves as Director of Grants and State Director for YMCA Texas Youth and Government with YMCA of Austin. She received her B.A in Political Science from St. Edward’s University and M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She was a previous member of the Texas Civics Education Roundtable committee, whose goal is to help advance civic education statewide through State Advocacy efforts. 

She has more than 20 years of professional experience in program management with previous roles at Travis County Juvenile Court, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & South Texas, Housing Authority of the City of Austin and Keep Texas Beautiful. She is a member Leadership Austin Essential Class (2009) and volunteered for organizations such as the SIMS Foundation, Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Young Women’s Alliance and SXSW Film Festival. She enjoys walking or running the Lady Bird Lake trail and taking in the Austin music scene in her free time.
