Board Selection Process

Members of the AFP Board of Directors are selected annually by a nominating committee composed of past AFP chapter presidents, members, and community members at-large. Committee members consider the following when preparing a slate of board candidates: qualification for service based on experience within Chapter and community, overall geographic and sector representation of current members, continuity versus turnover, diversity and inclusion. Each nominee is interviewed by a member of the nominating committee. A slate will be presented to the current Board of Directors and then distributed for a final vote by the AFP Greater Austin Chapter membership, in accordance with our chapter bylaws.

Thank you to our 2024 Committee on Directorship: Catherine Ervin (Chair), Heather Henry, Amy Jackson, Karl Nichols and Elizabeth Wrona
