With more than 20 years of experience raising money for local and state non-profit organizations, Heather Summers Parsons, CFRE has done almost everything, from running annual campaigns and directing special events to creating annual development plans and soliciting corporate sponsorships and major gifts.

She has also spent 10+ years working with non-profit executives and their board members to demystify fundraising and empower them to raise funds for their passions. Her philosophy is if you can make friends, you can raise money for your organization.

These days, Heather leverages her experience with the Texas Hospital Association Foundation, Seton Williamson Foundation, Texas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and the Texas Medical Association Foundation to help her clients solve their most pressing fundraising challenges. Her boutique fundraising consulting firm specializes in interim and in-residence development leadership services.

Away from work, Heather enjoys reading, traveling, and working crossword puzzles. She can be found most days taking classes at her local Pure Barre studio. She is a sustainer member of the Junior League of Austin and serves as a Sustaining Advisor. She and her husband James live in Austin with their cats.
