Amy Jackson, CFRE has nearly 20 years of development and resource management experience.  She recently took an advancement position with her alma mater, Abilene Christian University, fundraising for the Central Texas area.  Previously, she served as the Chief Development Officer for Caritas of Austin for over 8 years.  Prior to moving to Austin in 2011, Amy was the Director of Special Gifts and Director of Development for Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson & Ellis Counties (now, Meals on Wheels of North Central Texas), for 10 years.  She has also consulted for smaller nonprofits in resource development and contracted with the Texas Public Policy Foundation working on their annual Policy Orientation and capital project.      

Amy is a graduate of Abilene Christian University (1998), and holds a Masters in Public Administration with a certification in Nonprofit Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) receiving her accreditation in June 2008.   

Amy has been a member of AFP since 2003, having served on the Fort Worth Metro Chapter Board and the 2020 Austin Chapter Board President.   She has served as Director of Legislative Affairs and 2016 Philanthropy Day Chair.  She is an annual guest lecturer for the “Fundamentals of Fundraising” course sponsored by AFP-DFW & Austin chapters.  

She is an active member of Rotary International with the Austin Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow.  In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh and two daughters, Caroline (14) and Emilie (9).  Their activities keep her busy whether it is Girl Scouts or being a full-blown “dance mom.”  They also attend church at Westover Hills Church of Christ where they are active with the Children’s program, and host Care Groups in their home.
