AFP Virtual Education Session - June 2020

How COVID-19 Has Affected the Funder Community

In addition to nonprofits, funders and foundations have been greatly affected by COVID-19. That impact is both financial and strategic as funders are evaluating how this pandemic is changing the nonprofit and philanthropic landscape. AFP Greater Austin’s June luncheon will feature a panel of local funders who will discuss how COVID-19 has changed their approach to funding, how reporting requirements for grant partners will change, and how future funding requests will be impacted.

Speakers:

Emily Greer - The Moody Foundation

Emily Greer is the Central Texas Grants Officer for the Moody Foundation since July 2019. Before joining the foundation in July, Emily  was the Executive Director of the Rise School of Austin and currently sits on the board.  Emily has a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from TWU and undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Texas.
